Visit downtown Newberg for the First Friday Artwalk.  Hip Chicks do Wine will be hosting artist Mark Treick and chocolate sampling from The Dark Chocolatier.  From 5pm - 9pm you can get a wine tasting flight for $5 and that includes light appetizers.  Various downtown businesses will host a variety of artists and wineries. Hip Chicks do Wine will be at Portland Seafood and Wine Festival February 3 and 4 to help with all of your seafood pairing needs! Come sample delicious wine and seafood and have some fun!

2/4/2012 -- Made In Oregon -- Clackamas Town Center -- FREE

On Saturday from 4-6 pm, Hip Chicks do Wine will be at the Clackamas Town Center Made In Oregon pouring free tastes!  Do a little sampling with us and add some local wine to your Valentine's gifts!

2/10/2012 -- Battle Ground Produce -- Battle Ground, WA

We are heading up to Washington!  Come see us on Friday from 4-7 pm at Battle Ground Produce, 915 E Main Street.  We'll be doing some wine tasting, and bottles will be available for purchase so you can stock up!

2/11/2012 -- New Seasons Market -- Happy Valley -- FREE

2/11/2012 - 2/12/2012 -- Wine and Chocolate Pairing -- Portland Winery -- $15

Come visit our winery and do some tasting from 12-5:30 pm on Saturday and Sunday.  Our winemakers are teaming up with Cocoa Velvet Chocolatiers to pair 5 wines with 5 chocolates.  $15 at the door, or 2 for $20 advanced purchase.  Only $5 for wine club members.  What a perfect way to get ready for Valentine's Day!

So you've passed security but still need some wine to bring on your trip?  We've got you covered.  We'll be will be at the Made In Oregon at PDX (concourse D) on Monday from 10 am - 1 pm.  Don't forget to bring some wine to your Valentine!

The Hip Chicks will be partnering with Lisa Watson of Cupcake Jones for some fabulous cupcake and wine pairings for Valentines Day!  When you pre-order your cupcakes in advance you will be invited to a free wine tasting at their new event space, 307 NW 10th Ave, on Tuesday from 12-7 pm.  Bottles of wine will be available for sale for you or your special valentine, along with some special packages. 

2/17/2012 -- Whole Foods -- Laurelhurst -- Portland -- FREE

We will be at the Laurelhurst Whole Foods on Friday from 5-7 pm.  Come do some wine tasting with us and take home a bottle to enjoy with dinner!

Sample Hip Chicks do Wine in the beverage garden, or enjoy a glass or a bottle while you check out the various displays, cooking demonstrations, and seminars at the Yard, Garden & Patio Show!  We'll be there Friday and Saturday from 10 am-7:30 pm, and Sunday from 10 am-5 pm.  See you there!

2/23/2012 - 2/26/2012 -- Newport Seafood & Wine Festival -- Oregon Coast

Hip Chicks do Wine is coming to Newport!  We'll be at the Newport Seafood & Wine Festival Thursday from 6 pm-10 pm, Friday from 2 pm-9 pm, Saturday from 10 am-6 pm, and Sunday from 10 am-4 pm.    We'll be pouring tastes and glasses to pair with all the crab, oysters, and other seafood you might find!

Spring is almost here, and there's no better way to celebrate than by joining Hip Chicks do Wine at Dita's Chocolates on Friday, March 2nd, from 5 to 8!  Hip Chicks will be pouring five wines and Dita's will offer samples of delicious local chocolates.

On Saturday from 6-9 pm, our wine club members are invited to join us for a special party.  We'll be doing barrel tasting, barrel tours, and enjoying appetizers, wine tasting, and live music by Lisa Mann.

3/8/2012 -- Vino Basics (Wine 101 Class) -- Portland Winery

 Don't know the difference between Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir?  Curious about why certain wines are in certain bottles?  Can't tell the difference between acid and tannin?  Join Mich Nelson on Thursday from 6-7:30 pm for a fun and education introduction to the world of wine!  This class is great for folks just getting started to learn about wine as well as those who would like to expand the knowlege that they already have.  Each class will give an overview of wine, winemaking, wine tasting and more.  Class space is limited and reservations must be made in advance. $40 for 1 person or $70 for 2. Includes light appetizers of local cheeses and charcuterie. Current Wine club members and one guest may reserve a space for $20 each.
